I know I know its been a while I am active

Today I am going to post a very simple recepi... Gatti Pakodi... hmmm... Yummy....

Its raining today and its saturday... So enjoying pakodi with chai..

Ingredients:


Besan: 1 cup
Rice Flour: 2 tbs
Chilli Powder:1 tbs
Daniya Powder: 1/2 tbs
Salt: To taste
Onion: 1 Chopped vertically
Cumin Seeds: 1/4 tbs
Water: Little
Oil : For frying

Preparation:

1. Combine all the ingredients mentioned above except oil and water. Now add water little by little to make a thick paste. Dont add too much water as the pakodi will become soft rather than crisp.
2.Now add little flitters into the oil with your hand and fry till golden brown in a medium flame. Keep moving the flitters to fry equally.
3.Remove the excess oil with tissue and serve hot.

Whooooooo Ready to eat :)

Methi Gardening & Methi Dal

Hi Friends... Today I have harvested my first batch of Methi... Came out great.... Very excited... Cant wait to taste Methi Dal with this..:)


Cooked Methi Dal... Tasted great... Here is recipe

Ingredients:

Toor Dal, Kandi Pappu: 1 small cup
Methi Leaves: 2 cups cut
onion: 1 small size cut
Chillies: 2 cut
Tomato: 1 Medium size cut
Garlic Pods: 2
Tamarind: Half Lemon size
Turmeric: 1/2 tps
Chilli Powder: 1 tps
Water: 1/2 Cup
Salt : To Taste

Tempering:

Oil: 1 Tbsp
Curry Leaves: 3-4 leaves
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tps
Jeera: 1/2 tps
Chana Dal: 1/2 tps
Urad Dal: 1/2 tps

Method:

1. Place all the ingredients except Salt and Tempering into cooker and cook till you get 3-4 Whistles till dal is cooked.
2. Wait till the steam comes off and now slightly mash with the spatula.
3. Heat oil in Small pan and add all the tempering ( First add Chana dal, urad dal. Wait till they slighty change color. Now add jeera and mustand seeds. Finally add curry leaves.
4. Transfer tempering into Dal in cooker and add salt according to taste.
5. Cook everything for 5 min.

Serve with Hot rice or Rotis with Ghee.(Personal Choice).

Quick and Easy Green Peas Rice

Hi Friends... Its been a while I visited my blog... Was busy with work....

Today I am going to post very very simple and easy rice recipe GREEN PEAS RICE. This rice goes with any curry and its very easy.

Ingredients:

Rice: 1 Cup
Green peas: Fresh or Frozen: 1/4 cup
Oil: 1 tbsp
Jeera : 1 tbsp
Cinnamon: 1 inch Stick
Cardamom: 2
Bay Leafs: 2
Salt: To taste

1. Wash rice and add 11/2 cup of water ( Depending on your rice variety. I use Basmathi Rice) and place in rice cooker.
2. Heat oil in small pan.Add bay leaves,cinnamin, cardomom, jeera and allow jeera to turn brown ( Dont allow till they become black).
3. Now add green peas and cook till they become soft for 5-7 min.
4. Now add this to rice in rice cooker and add salt acocoording to taste.
5. Switch on rice cooker and wait till rice is done.You can cook rice separately also.

New for Blogging - Indian Recepies

Hello Friends.... This is my first Blog and I am inspired by all other bloggers out there.... I thought I will blog by giving you recipe for CAPSICUM COCONUT MILK CURRY.... Please  feel free to post your comments and Suggestions...:)


Ingredients:

Capsicum: 3 ( Mixed or Green)
Onion: 1
Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
Coconut milk: Half Tin
Chilli Powder: 2 tps
Coriander Powder: 2 tps
Salt : To taste

Tempering:

Cloves: 2
Cinnamon Stick: 1 inch
Cardomom pods: 2
Jeera : 1/2 tps

Procedure:

1. Heat 1 tbps of oil and add tempering ingredients.
2. Now add Onions and fry till soft.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté.
4. Add capsicum pieces( Small) and sauté till pieces were half cooked.
5. Add Chilli powder, Coriander powder and mix.
6. Now add Coconut Milk , mix and close the the lid. Let it cook in medium flame and 10-15 min till the Capsicum pieces are cooked and gravy becomes thick.

Serve with Hot plain rice or Peas Rice ( Will Post Recipe Soon) :)
